Leading the way in industry advancement and education, Forensic Building Science (FBS) attended the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) International Convention and Trade Show. The event took place on March 8-11 at the Phoenix Convention Center and Sheraton Phoenix Downtown in Phoenix, Arizona. IIBEC is an international association of design professionals who specialize in building enclosure projects. Their mission is to advance the profession of building enclosure, roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall consultants. Members design, investigate, and manage roofing, exterior wall, waterproofing systems and provide enclosure commissioning services. FBS is a proud member.
The event draws building enclosure professionals from around the globe for premier educational programming, exhibits, product demos, and networking events covering all facets of the building enclosure. This annual event featured more than 20 educational sessions, 125 manufacturers and service providers, and 11 networking events. The event also featured the presentation of the first-ever Excellence in Building Enclosure Consulting Awards across five categories, including exterior wall, roofing, and waterproofing.
The four-day educational event began March 8 with the RCI-IIBEC Foundations’ Golf Tournament, an auxiliary seminar on reroofing, and an opening reception. The second day featured keynote speaker Nikki Greenberg, a world-leading futurist and innovation strategist, and educational sessions, and product demonstrations. The third day featured an awards luncheon, product demonstrations, and educational sessions, followed by an emerging professionals networking reception. The final day included more educational sessions, RCI-IIBEC Foundations’ Live Auction & Reception, and a president’s annual banquet. See the full agenda.
